How often should i have my home carpets cleaned?
For most homes, we recommend having carpets professionally cleaned every 12 to 18 months. Homes with pets, children, allergies, or higher foot traffic may benefit from more frequent cleaning, typically every 6 to 12 months, to maintain appearance, indoor air quality, and carpet longevity.
Is your cleaning safe for pets and children?
Yes. We use professional-grade, residue-free cleaning solutions that are safe for pets and children when used as directed. Once surfaces are dry, they are safe to resume normal use.
Can you remove all stains and odours?
We can’t always guarantee stains, it all depends on the type of stain, how long its been there, have you tried to clean it yourself? Sometimes that does more damage than leaving it for the professionals as whatever cleaning solution that is being used may change the chemistry (ph) which can actually set the stain. For odor, we have different stages that we offer. Just a spray enzyme deodorizer or a full submerged bath in a special solution. With the bath we can guarantee that we will get rid of the smell.
Do you work weekends?
During our busy season, typically May through October, we offer Saturday appointments. While our office remains closed on weekends, we do have a technician available on Saturdays for residential and commercial carpet and upholstery cleaning.
Saturday availability is limited and offered seasonally, so we recommend booking in advance.
Is my Area rug worth cleaning?
Yes — especially if it has sentimental value or is a family heirloom. Professional cleaning can help remove deep dirt and refresh the fibres while preserving what matters most.
We’re also very honest about results. If we don’t believe your rug will clean well or meet our standards, we’ll let you know upfront so you can decide what’s best.

Why are the edges or my carpet still dark after a clean?
Dark edges after a carpet clean are usually caused by filtration soiling (airborne dust and dirt buildup over time). In many cases, it is deeply embedded and unfortunately cannot be fully removed with cleaning.
What types of blinds can you clean?
We can clean most types of blinds; however, we do not clean wood blinds as they can be damaged when exposed to water. Certain specialty blinds, such as mesh shades, accordion blinds, and day/night shades, may also carry some risk during cleaning. These styles are often held together with adhesives that can weaken over time, and in some cases, the blinds may come apart if the glue has deteriorated
Do you use a truck mount or a portable?
All of our trucks are equipped with truck-mounted cleaning systems—we do not use portable machines. Truck mounts provide significantly more power, heat, and suction, allowing us to achieve a deeper and more effective clean for carpet, upholstery, and tile and grout. We found that portable units simply could not deliver the same level of results, which is why we exclusively use truck-mounted equipment to ensure the highest standard of cleaning
What are the white dots on my handwoven wool area rug?
On handwoven wool rugs, the small white dots are cotton foundation knots. During the weaving process, if a cotton warp or weft thread breaks, the weaver ties it back together. These small knots can later become visible on the surface of the rug as the pile relaxes, wears, or is cleaned.
This is a normal characteristic of handwoven rugs, not a defect and not damage. The knots are part of the rug’s original construction and do not affect its durability or performance
Do you clean area rugs, and do they need to be taken off-site?
Yes, we specialize in area rug cleaning, including wool and handwoven rugs. Area rugs are cleaned off-site in our shop, where we can properly dust, wash, and dry them. Rugs can be dropped off during business hours—no appointment required or if you require a pick up and delivery, give us a call and we will set that up!
Do you pick up and deliver area rugs?
Yes. We offer area rug pickup and delivery, and our team will even help move furniture that is on the rug if needed. Pickup and delivery service is priced slightly higher than drop-off due to the additional handling and transportation, but many clients find the convenience well worth it.
How long will it take for my carpets to dry after cleaning?
Most carpets dry within 4–8 hours, but drying time can be up to 24 hours depending on the type of fiber, humidity, and airflow. We use professional truck-mounted equipment to remove as much moisture as possible and help carpets dry faster than rental machines.
For best results, we recommend good airflow and limiting foot traffic until carpets are fully dry.
Are area rugs fully dried when they are picked up or delivered?
Yes. We ensure rugs are completely dry before they are returned.
After cleaning, each rug goes through our centrifuge to remove the majority of the moisture. Most rugs are then hung for at least a full day in our controlled drying area, with dehumidifiers and fans running to ensure thorough, even drying.
For rugs that cannot be hung—such as tufted rugs—we have a dedicated area in our shop where they are laid flat to dry. This allows us to dry them safely and evenly without risking damage or distortion

Do i need an appointment to bring in my area rug?
No appointment is required to drop off your area rugs. You’re welcome to bring them in Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Rugs can be left with us for up to two weeks; however, they are often completed sooner. We ask clients to allow up to two weeks to ensure proper cleaning and drying time.
Do you move furniture?
We ask that small items and breakables be removed ahead of time. Our technicians can move light furniture as needed. Larger or fragile items can be discussed during booking so we can plan accordingly. For example-Sofa’s, Loveseat, tables and chairs can be slid back and forth. It’s anything that one person can move without hurting themselves.
How long does area rug cleaning take?
For area rugs, we ask that they are left with us for up to 2 weeks. We can normally get them done and dry before that but we do ask for up to 2 weeks just in case we have any touch ups or anything to do on them.
Do you take down, pick up and deliver blinds? How long does it take?
Yes, we do. Our team can take down your blinds, pick them up, professionally clean them, and return and reinstall them once complete.
Typically, blinds are picked up one day, cleaned the next, and ready for return the following day. We ask for 2–3 days total to allow for proper cleaning and drying. We always aim for a quick turnaround, as we know most people don’t enjoy living in a “fishbowl.”
How long will my upholstery take to dry after cleaning?
Drying time for upholstery typically ranges from 4 to 12 hours, depending on the fabric type, how heavily it was cleaned, airflow in the room, and indoor humidity levels. In some cases, thicker fabrics or cooler conditions may take up to 24 hours.
To speed up drying, we recommend keeping air circulating with fans, opening windows if weather allows, and avoiding use of the furniture until it is fully dry.
