Here is a little History lesson for the day: In the early 1900s, standard housekeeping manuals genuinely recommended scattering used, damp tea leaves all over your rugs to collect dust before sweeping.

Even worse? To get out tough grease stains, they recommended scrubbing your living room floor with gasoline or kerosene.
